Antifouling 'Aragorn'

7/5/2016

Just finished painting this sketch which I made back in May when my Dad put Jonny to work antifouling the family boat, 'Aragorn'. The special blue paint stops weed and algae clinging to the underside of the boat so that it can travel more smoothly through the water. It took about 5 hours to do the whole hull, and Jonny said it was the most therapeutic job he's ever done on holiday! I'm heading back to Cork again this week so hoping to get a few more sketches done - maybe of the boat in the water this time!
